Hello ladies and gentlemen, here is some movie news with some of my thoughts and opinions (which will be in BOLD print). So without further ado...

When Guardians of the Galaxy debuted in theaters, it was almost instantly a smash hit and went on to become the highest-grossing film of the year at the domestic box office. Countless people were now fans of the ragtag group of misfits, including Academy Award-winning actor Al Pacino, who called the film “amazing, inventive, and beautiful.” Now, on the Happy Sad Confused Podcast (via MTV), Pacino reveals he has since met with Marvel Studios and its president Kevin Feige. When asked if he thought there was a part in store for him, he replied: “I would imagine either there’s something he feels is right for me, or…” which is when Pacino’s phone began to ring. “Every time we talk about Marvel, that’s what happens.” Like so many others, Marvel meets with a lot of actors, and whether anything ever comes of it remains to be seen, but Marvel Studios does have a number of movies coming up where Pacino could find himself such as Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Inhumans, or perhaps even Avengers: Infinity War.
If this is true then oh boy am I excited. Al Pacino is one of the greatest actors to ever live and to possibly see him in a Marvel movie is pretty cool. It also makes sense for Marvel to get him because they've gone after Oscar talent before like Jeff Bridges, William Hurt, Mickey Rourke, Robert Redford, Stanley Tucci and Tommy Lee Jones and they still have Anthony Hopkins, Benicio del Toro and Josh Brolin under their belt so it makes sense for Pacino to be in a film. Honestly I don't have the slightest clue who he could play all I know is that I want this to be confirmed.
We’re still a year-and-a-half out from Disney and Pixar’s long-awaited sequel Finding Dory, but Omelete (via Collider) has talked to Pixar President Jim Morris about the Finding Nemo follow-up and he’s revealed some interesting details about the plot and setting. Apparently Finding Dory picks up six months after the first movie, with Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) living a quiet life among the clown fishes. After going with Nemo on a class trip to see manta rays migrate back home, her home sickness leads the forgetful Dory on a quest to find where she came from. “The movie will be mostly set at the California Marine Biology Institute, a huge complex of sea life rehabilitation and aquarium, where Dory was born and raised,” Morris says. “We will get to meet new characters, like an octopus, sea lions, a beluga whale, among others.” Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy voice Dory’s parents, and the setting was apparently changed early on after Pixar screened Gabriela Cowperthwaite’s controversial Sea World documentary Blackfish. Setting the film at a Marine Biology Institute instead of an aquatic park will hopefully put the filmmakers on the right side of history. Finding Dory features returning favorites Marlin, Nemo and the Tank Gang, among others. Set in part along the California coastline, the story also welcomes a host of new characters, including a few who will prove to be a very important part of Dory’s life. Findng Nemo helmer Andrew Stanton returns to the directors chair for the animated film, which features the voices of Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks, Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy, Willem Dafoe, Dominic West, Ty Burrell and Idris Elba. Walt Disney Pictures will release the film on June 17, 2016.
This is really interesting and it makes sense. I think it was a great idea for them to change the setting because Balckfish brought so many bad things out about Sea World that it probably wouldn't be a great idea to trap aquatic wildlife in Sea World wouldn't be a great idea and now we get a legitimate reason why the film was pushed back to 2016 because they needed to redo the entire story setting and they wouldn't be ready for a 2015 release date. Overall I really like everything I've heard about the film and I cannot wait to see it.
Oscar-winning director Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump) is bringing Philippe Petit’s astounding August 7, 1974 high-wire walk between the two World Trade Center towers to life in The Walk, which Sony has just released a trailer for and you can check it out below. “The caper is really compelling. It’s outrageous,” Zemeckis tells Entertainment Weekly of Petit’s incredible stunt. “It’s the story of an artist who risks his life to create a performance. Nobody does this anymore—something that is, uh, anarchistically benevolent. Banksy is the only guy who does this anymore. I wonder why that is, why people have gotten so … boring.” Twelve people have walked on the moon, but only one man has ever, or will ever, walk in the immense void between the World Trade Center towers. Guided by his real-life mentor, Papa Rudy (Ben Kingsley), and aided by an unlikely band of international recruits, Petit and his gang overcome long odds, betrayals, dissension and countless close calls to conceive and execute their mad plan. With a screenplay by Zemeckis and Christopher Browne based on Petit’s book “To Reach the Clouds,” The Walk stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ben Kingsley, James Badge Dale, Ben Schwartz, Charlotte Le Bon, Clément Sibony and César Domboy. TriStar Pictures will release The Walk in IMAX 3D on October 2, 2015.
This was a great teaser trailer. Now I will admit that I am scared of heights and when he looks down upon the streets of New York in the trailer, my anxiety shot through the roof. This is a really interesting story and if you want a little more in-depth knowledge about the story I highly recommend the Academy Award winning documentary called Man on Wire. The film looks amazing and I really cannot wait to see the film.
Warner Bros. Pictures has just released a new trailer for writer/director Paul Thomas Anderson’s darkly comic Thomas Pynchon adaptation, Inherent Vice and you can check it out in the player below!Marking the first-ever adaptation of one of Pynchon’s novels, Inherent Vice begins when when private eye Doc Sportello’s (Joaquin Phoenix) ex-old lady suddenly out of nowhere shows up with a story about her current billionaire land developer boyfriend whom she just happens to be in love with, and a plot by his wife and her boyfriend to kidnap that billionaire and throw him in a loony bin… well, easy for her to say. It’s the tail end of the psychedelic ’60s and paranoia is running the day and Doc knows that “love” is another of those words going around at the moment, like “trip” or “groovy,” that’s being way too overused—except this one usually leads to trouble. With a cast of characters that includes surfers, hustlers, dopers and rockers, a murderous loan shark, LAPD Detectives, a tenor sax player working undercover, and a mysterious entity known as the Golden Fang, which may only be a tax dodge set up by some dentists… In addition to the Academy Award-nominated Phoenix, Inherent Vice‘s cast also includes fellow Oscar nominees Josh Brolin (No Country for Old Men) and Owen Wilson (The Royal Tenenbaums) and Oscar winners Benicio Del Toro (Traffic) and Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line). Rounding out the cast is Katherine Waterston (Michael Clayton), Martin Short (Mars Attacks!), Jena Malone (Sucker Punch) and, in her feature film debut, singer/songwriter Joanna Newson. Inherent Vice opens in a limited release this Friday, December 12 with plans to expand everywhere January 9.
This was a great trailer. It gives a few more details about the film and it also had a little bit more humor in this trailer as well. I really enjoyed everything I've seen from the film and the cast is just simply amazing and I'm really excited to see the film.
New Line Cinema and Village Roadshow Pictures’ action-thriller San Andreas, starring Dwayne Johnson, has dropped an earth-shattering trailer, which you can check out below. After the infamous San Andreas Fault finally gives, triggering a magnitude 9 earthquake in California, a search and rescue helicopter pilot (Johnson) and his estranged wife make their way together from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their only daughter. But their treacherous journey north is only the beginning, and when they think the worst may be over…it’s just getting started. Directed by Brad Peyton (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island), San Andreas also stars Carla Gugino, Kylie Minogue, Alexandra Daddario, Ioan Gruffudd, Archie Panjabi, Hugo Johnstone-Burt and Art Parkinson. It will be released in theaters on May 29, 2015.

This was a pretty nice little trailer. I mean it didn't show a lot, but it was pretty intense and it showed pretty much what the film is going to be like. The film feels a lot like some certain films like Volcano and 2012 so we've seen this type of film before. One of the reasons why I'm excited for the film is because of The Rock and I can't wait to see him in the film.
