My Review of The Muppets

In honor of Muppets Most Wanted being released this week, I've decided to review the first film in the new Muppet movies entitled The Muppets. So without further ado...

On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter (voiced by Peter Linz) , the world's biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (played by Jason Segel) and Gary’s girlfriend Mary (played by Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (played by Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. To stage a telethon and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit (voiced by Steve Whitmire) reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie (voiced by Eric Jacobson) now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy (voiced by Eric Jacobson) is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal (voiced by Eric Jacobson) is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo (voiced by Dave Goelz) is a high-powered plumbing magnate.

I absolutely love this film. It was great to see the Muppets back on the big screen for the first time in 11 years as well as the film being a return to form of The Muppets TV show with all of the wonderful musical numbers. The addition of Jason Segal and Amy Adams bring new life and great comedy to the muppets. Also the plethora of cameos made in the film is amazing. I'm a huge fan of The Muppets and I can't wait to see more of their glorious adventures on the big screen. Overall I give The Muppets a 10 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of The Muppets, what would you score it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section and let your voice be heard.
