Here are my Top 5 observations and opinions
  1. In a phrase I never thought I would hear myself say "Grown Ups 2 beat Pacific Rim in the US". I really don't understand how either, I mean Grown Ups 2 is just a repeat of every Adam Sandler movie with no new material and has critically been a bad movie holding only a 7% on RottenTomatoes.com. We as moviegoers always complain about Hollywood not having an original idea, well Pacific Rim is an ORIGINAL IDEA and people were complaining that it was too violent when all it is robots vs monsters. I mean the kids that grew up in the 70's would have died to see this movie back then and now that they are adults they've decided to shelter their kids and not let them see the movie. I can understand Despicable Me 2 beating Pacific Rim because it is an awesome movie, but taking the family to see Grown Ups 2 is the worst waste of money EVER!!!!!!
  2. Despicable Me 2 continues its Box Office success and is well on it's way to $300  million in the US.
  3. The Lone Ranger continues to be a huge bomb only making $71 million total in the US in 2 weeks and even with the international numbers it still will not break even with its $250 million budget.
  4. The Heat has shown that it is one of the best comedies of the year while bringing in an impressive $112 million on a $43 million budget.
  5. Kevin Hart's Stand-Up comedy movie Let Me Explain has made a pretty good chunk of change making $26 million while only having a $2.5 million budget.

So ladies and gentlemen what do you think of the box office, does anything surprise you, and what do you think of my little rant? Let me know in the comments and let your voice be heard

P.S. if you don't believe me in saying Grown Ups 2 is a piece of garbage then watch the videos in the links below and you'll understand what I'm saying.
