Pitch Perfect tells the story of all-girl a cappella group. The Barden Bellas, as they compete against another a cappella group from their college to win nationals. It is directed by Jason Moore and stars Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow, Adam DeVine, Ben Platt, John Michael Higgins and Elizabeth Banks.
This movie is absolutely hilarious and Rebel Wilson's performance as Fat Amy is awesome and it steals the show. If Melissa McCarthy can get a Oscar nomination for Bridesmaids then Rebel Wilson deserved a nomination for Pitch Perfect. At first I thought the movie would have some funny parts but be be really boring, but I actually had a good time and enjoyed the movie. The music kept me in the groove, John Michael Higgins and Elizabeth Banks give some pretty hilarious moments as the announcers of the singing competitions.I felt Anna Kendrick's performance as Beca was a little sluggish and some of the actors looked like they are trying a little too hard and some characters are really annoying and it brings the film down just a little bit, but not enough to ruin the movie, Pitch perfect is pretty predictable and its like Step-Up but with a better plot and better actors . With the financial and critical success Universal Studios green-lit the sequel back in April and Pitch Perfect 2 is set to be released sometime in 2015. With all of this being said I give this movie a 9 out of 10 and I recommend it to everyone.
