Pacific Rim Review

I watched Pacific Rim this weekend and here is my review

Pacific Rim tells the story of giant monsters known as "Kaiju" that have risen from a portal in a crevasse beneath the Pacific Ocean, resulting in a war which takes the lives of millions and quickly consumes humanity's resources. To combat the monsters, a special type of weapon is designed: massive robots, known as Jaegers (which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge). But as the war continues, even the Jaegers struggle to win the war against a relentless enemy. Against all odds, the remaining forces of mankind are forced to make one final stand. The film stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Burn Gorman and Ron Perlman.

I thought the film was absolutely amazing. It was action packed from beginning to end, it had a wonderful and original plot, it had awesome character and story development, it had the right mix of emotion and comedy (especially when Perlman and Day are on screen together), Idris Elba gives an Oscar-worthy performance , we also get a breakout performance from Rinko Kikuchi. The film is a mix between Rock'em, Sock'em, Robots and Godzilla vs. King Kong, and the visual effects make the film worth to go see in 3D. Pacific Rim kept me on the edge of my seat and I give the film a 10 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Pacific Rim, have you seen it what would you give the film, and what do you think of my review? Let me know in the comments and let your voice be heard.
