9. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
Catching Fire is the 2nd book in the Hunger Games series and will be the 2nd film out of 4 films in the franchise. After winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games Katniss Everdeen (played by Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (played by Josh Hutcherson) return home to District 12. However they must embark on a "Victory Tour" to all of the other districts, leaving behind their close friends and family. The day of the tour, President Snow (played by Donald Sutherland) threatens Katniss's best friend and pretend cousin Gale Hawthorne (played by Liam Hemsworth). During the tour, Katniss senses that rebellion is brewing in the districts, but the capitol is still firmly in control as the world prepares for the 75th Annual Hunger Games (known as a Quarter Quell), a competition that could change Panem forever. I personally loved the first movie and I'm really excited for this installment as well. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theaters on November 22nd and is rated PG-13.

8. Pacific Rim
Giant robots vs. giant monsters, count me in. Pacific Rim comes to us from Guillermo del Toro (director of the Hellboy series) and is set in the near future, as giant monsters known as "Kaiju" have risen from a portal in a crevasse beneath the Pacific Ocean, resulting in a war which takes the lives of millions and quickly consumes humanity's resources. To combat the monsters, a special type of weapon is designed: massive robots, known as Jaegers (which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge). But as the war continues, even the Jaegers struggle to win the war against a relentless enemy. Against all odds, the remaining forces of mankind are forced to make one final stand. I expect this movie to great and very action packed. Pacific Rim hits theaters on July 12th and is rated PG-13.

7. Don Jon
This movie sounds really interesting and the film already has received great reviews at The Sundance Film Festival. Jon Martello (played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a modern day Don Juan who objectifies everything in his life, especially woman. His friends call him Don Jon because of his ability to pull in very gorgeous women (or 10's) every weekend without fail. But his addiction to porn has made him dissatisfied with life and he sets out on a journey to find a more gratifying sex life. However, he ends up seeing the bigger picture and learning more about life and love through two different woman (played by Scarlett Johansson and Julianne Moore). This is the directorial debut of Gordon-Levitt and this looks to be the start of a successful career behind the camera as well as receiving some potential Oscar Buzz. Don Jon hits theaters on September 27th and is rated R

6. Kick-Ass 2
The first film was awesome and now you add Jim Carrey to mix, you have to count me in. Inspired by Kick-Ass (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson), other masked heroes appear. One such, Colonel Stars and Stripes (played by Jim Carrey), forms a team and Kick-Ass joins them on patrol, while Hit-Girl (played by Chloe Grace Moretz) "retires", and tries to have a normal life. Meanwhile Red Mist (played by Christopher Mintz Plasse) "reborn as The Mother F***er" returns to play supervillian with his army and seeks to exact revenge on Kick-Ass for his father's death. This film looks to be really funny and i'm excited for it. Kick-Ass 2 hits theaters on August 14th and is rated R.

5. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues
Finally the long awaited sequel to Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy is coming to the big screen. After the 1970's brought prosperity to the Channel 4 News Team, the group disbands and hits rock bottom until a 24-hour news channel is being put togehter and the group has been recruited to join the channel. All of the main cast returns for this sequel and Kristen Wiig has joined the main cast as well. The first film is one of my top comedies of all-time and I have been very impatient for this sequel to arrive. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues hits theaters on December 20th and is rated R

4. The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug
After the success of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug looks to join the billion dollar club. The film continues the adventure of Bilbo Baggins (played by Martin Freeman) as he journeys with the wizard Gandalf (played by Ian Mckellen) and thirteen dwarves, led by Thorin Oakensheild (played by Richard Armitage) on their epic quest to reclaim the lost dwarf kingdom of Erebor. Benedict Cumberbatch also joins the cast as the dragon Smaug. I'm excited to see where Peter Jackson takes us this time and I hope it lives up to The Lord of The Rings trilogy. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug hits theaters on December 13th and is rated PG-13.

3. The Wolverine
After a disappointing and awful prequel film , Wolverine returns to action in this sequel to the X-Men trilogy. Some time after the events of X-Men: The Last Stand, Wolverine/Logan (played by Hugh Jackman) travels to Japan where he engages a figure from his past in a fight that has lasting consequences. Vulnerable for the first time, and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel, but also struggles against his own immortality emerging more powerful than ever before. I'm really excited to see Wolverine in a really good stand alone movie and this will not be the last time we see Jackman playing Wolverine as he will be reprising his famous role in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past. The Wolverine hit theaters on July 24th and is rated PG-13.

2. The Wolf of Wall Street
Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese team up again in what looks to be an early contender for a numerous amount of Academy Award nominations and wins. The Wolf of Wall Street is based on the True story of Jordan Belfort (played by Leonardo DiCaprio), a New York stockbroker who served 20 months in prison for refusing to cooperate in a massive 1990's securities fraud case that involved widespread corruption on Wall Street and in the corporate banking world, included mob infiltration. This film has an all-star cast which includes Jonah Hill and Matthew McConaughey. The Wolf of Wall Street hits theaters on November 13th and is rated R.

1. Thor: The Dark World
Marvel is at it again bringing us the 2nd movie in their Phase 2 plans all leading to The Avengers 2. Set one year after The Avengers, Thor battles to save the Nine Realms from a mysterious enemy older than the universe itself. A primeval race known as The Dark Elves who are led by Malekith (played by Christopher Eccleston), who is out for revenge, intends to plunge the universe into darkness. Confronted by an enemy that even Odin (played by Anthony Hopkins) and Asgard cannot overcome, Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth) must reunite with Jane Foster (played by Natalie Portman) and set out on a dangerous journey that will force him to make the ultimate sacrifice. This film looks amazing and Marvel is just going to keep on dominating the competition and I believe it will be the best Marvel Phase 2 film. Thor: The Dark World hits theaters on November 8th and is rated PG-13.
