1. Unsurprisingly, The Girl on the Train took the number one spot at the box office.
2. No film in the top 10 this week has been for more than 5 months which makes the box office feel fresh with plenty of new films for everyone to see.
3. Despite all of the controversy surrounding the film, The Birth of a Nation had a solid opening weekend for a film in limited release.
4. The biggest loser of the weekend was Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children as it made 47,6% less than it did last weekend.
5. I went 5 for 5 on my predictions.

Predictions
1. Kevin Hart: What Now? $35 Million
2. The Accountant $22 Million
3. The Girl on the Train $14 Million
4. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children $9 Million
5. Deepwater Horizon $6 Million

So ladies and gentlemen what do you think of this weekend's box office totals and what are some of your takeaways? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
