So i recently watched Storks and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado.............
Storks deliver babies -- or at least they used to. Now, they deliver packages for a global internet retail giant. Junior (played by Andy Samberg), the company's top delivery stork, lands in hot water when the Baby Factory produces an adorable but wholly unauthorized girl. Desperate to deliver this bundle of trouble, Junior and his friend Tulip (played by Katie Crown), the only human on Stork Mountain, race against time to make their first baby drop before the boss (played by Kelsey Grammer) finds out.
This is fun and very interesting film. On paper these seems like a really stupid film and with a stupid premise and it's actually very entertaining. A story we are all told when we are young is that when we were babies we came from storks and while that's not the case, it's always been something never explored on film the direction the film goes is unexpected and it keeps your interest throughout the film. The characters are just fabulous and so likable even the villain is someone who you can connect with and that's hard for any film to do. The comedy is so good and every joke is spot on, but there are a few that may have been a little too over the top for this type of film in the sense that some seemed a little inappropriate, but it's something you could've predicted with Nicholas Stoller behind the camera. This film is a change of pace for him and it really shows off his directing skills and his ability to tackle another genre. The voice cast isn't as stacked as most animated films are, but the cast do a great job of bringing the characters to life and making them feel real. The animation is incredible and you can tell the animators took a lot of time and effort to get all of the little details right. The film also flies by (no pun intended) and you can really tell that it does and it doesn't feel like they developed a few of the characters enough for you to be fully hooked in the big picture of the film. Overall this film was a very surprising film in many ways and it helps continue the strong year for animated films. I give Storks an 8 out of 10.
So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Storks, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
