So I recently watched Max Steel and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado......
Teenager Max McGrath (played by Ben Winchell) discovers that his body can generate the most powerful energy in the universe. Steel (voiced by Josh Brener) is a funny, slightly rebellious, techno-organic extraterrestrial who wants to utilize Max's skills. When the two meet, they combine together to become Max Steel, a superhero with unmatched strength on Earth. They soon learn to rely on each other when Max Steel must square off against an unstoppable enemy from another galaxy.
This might be the biggest pile of trash that has come on the big screen this year. For the longest time the trailer for this film was never shown in America and it was even banned in America up until the past 2 or 3 weeks which is baffling especially since you're making it a nationwide release. It was based off of a tv show that quite frankly was pretty mediocre so making a film based off of it doesn't seem like a smart business decision. The film itself is just atrocious and it feels like a cheaply made fan film that didn't deserve a full release. The visuals are somewhat nice, but most of them just look tacky and make the film unwatchable the majority of the time. Films like this are only made to make an attempt to capitalize on the current superhero trend and if you've seen the film Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, this film feels like that in the sense a crappy IP property is getting a film made to make money off of a trend. The performances are bland and pathetic that you just don't care about because the film is to hard to watch. Overall this is a poor attempt at filmmaking and virtual embarrassment to the rest of the industry. I give Max Steel a 0.5 out of 10.
So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Max Steel, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
