My Review of Morgan

So I recently watched Morgan and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado..........

Morgan (played by Anya Taylor-Joy) is a bioengineered child who began walking and talking after one month of existence, exceeding the wildest expectations of her creators. When Morgan attacks one of her handlers, a corporate troubleshooter (played by Kate Mara) visits the remote, top-secret facility where she's kept to assess the risks of keeping her alive. When the girl breaks free and starts running amok, the staff members find themselves in a dangerous lockdown with an unpredictable and violent synthetic human.

This film is a great concept, buy not a well thought out film. The film moves at a super slow pace that will take you out of the film within the first 30 minutes if you don't gain interest in what the film is trying to build immediately. The film feels like a weird mix of Ex Machina and The Lazarus Effect and to the point where life is created whether through death or through experiments, but things go horrifically wrong. Anya Taylor-Joy does a really great job in the lead role and she make you scared of this little girl and just what she can do. The rest of the cast just looks like a bunch of cardboard cutouts that have no other expressions other than a blank stare, almost as if they are staring at a green screen which is basically what they did and it really just messes with you when you can tell where green-screen was so blatantly used. The story has a lot of interesting ides, but it just doesn't execute on them and it just makes the ending seem flat. speaking of the ending there is a twist to the film which can easily be predicted pretty early on in the film and once you see the twist you'll understand the scene mentioned. Overall this film feels like a really lazy attempt to cash on the success of a film like Ex Machina, but it ends up being just another forgettable sci-fi film. I give Morgan a 2.5 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Morgan, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
