1. Despite taking over the number one spot at the box office, The Dark Tower had a horrible opening weekend and its going to be hard for the filmmakers to pitch a sequel with poor box office returns and poor reviews.
2. For the first time in 9 weeks, Wonder Woman is not in the top 10, but it still had an amazing run and over the next couple of weeks it will cross into the top 5 highest grossing comic book films of all-time domestically.
3. This was a pretty poor weekend at the box office and it's typically expected that unless you're a big budget film like Suicide Squad or Guardians of the Galaxy, then the first weekend of August isn't too kind to films as most kids are gearing up to head back to school or are already in school and their attention focuses more towards that then movies.
4. The biggest loser of the weekend was Atomic Blonde as it made 55.4% less than it did last weekend and the biggest winner of the weekend was Detroit as it made 1,934.8% more than it did last weekend.
5. I went 1 for 5 on my predictions.

Predictions
1. Annabelle: Creation $45 Million
2. The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature $16 Million
3. The Dark Tower $11 Million
4. Dunkirk $10 Million
5. The Glass Castle $7 Million
