Hello ladies and gentlemen, here is some movie news with some of my thoughts and opinions (which will be in BOLD print). So without further ado...

Beloved actor and filmmaker Lord Richard Attenborough has passed away at the age of 90, presumably from natural causes, according to reports coming from out of the UK.
With a career that spanned over 60 years, Lord Attenborough was born August 29, 1923 in Cambridge, England, and he acted for 27 years before directing his first movie, Oh! What a Lovely War in 1969. He followed that with Young Winston and the acclaimed A Bridge Too Far as well as the highly-influential horror film Magic in 1978. It was his fifth film as director, the biopic Gandhi, where Lord Attenborough started getting greater respect for his filmmaking, winning two Oscars for producing and directing the film. The film would receive eight Oscars total including the sole Oscar win for Sir Ben Kingsley. Ten years later, Lord Attenborough directed Robert Downey Jr. to his first Oscar nomination in Chaplin.
For many, it was Lord Attenborough's acting roles that he'll be remembered for including his Golden Globe award-winning roles in The Sand Pebbles and Doctor Dolittle in 1966 and 1967. Before that, he played many memorable roles in Brighton Rock, The League of Gentlemen and others. He had a late resurgence as an actor when he played Dr. John Hammond in Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park and its sequel, playing Kris Kringle in the 1994 remake of Miracle on 34th Street and a role in Shakhar Kapur's Elizabeth in 1998.
This is so sad to hear.He has acted in and directed some of the most iconic films in film history. I know a lot of people hate of Gandhi (I have some animosity for it) but I truly believe that it is one of the best biopics ever made. I also really like him in Jurassic Park and that to me be my memory of him. He seemed like a sweet man and he will be deeply missed. My prayers go out to his family .
The James Bond 24 production is looking to cast an iconic henchman, says MI6. According to the site, Daniel Craig's 007 will be facing a "physically imposing henchman" in the November 6, 2015. "Casting has begun for the main assassin, with the search specifically focussed on someone extremely physically fit and over 6' 2". Whoever wins the role will have several altercations with Daniel Craig's 007 throughout the film and also a driving sequence. Former sports athletes will be under consideration along with anyone 'very unusual'. The character has the working name of 'Hinx' (which may change before shooting starts) and is said to be between 30 and 45 years old... The goal is to find the next Jaws or Oddjob - a henchman so different to anything that has gone before that they will become instantly iconic in the film series," they say.
This is really cool to hear. My favorite Bond villain isn't' one of the main baddies in each film but it is without question the iconic character of Jaws played brilliantly by Richard Kiel. Hopefully they do find an interesting villain similar to him if not the same character. I really do think that this is a great idea for this film and it's the right time to do so.
Having won an Oscar earlier this year for his very first nomination (for Dallas Buyers Club) and with a possible Emmy coming his way next Monday (for HBO's "True Detective")--not to mention his starring role in Christopher Nolan's anticipated outer space epic Interstellar--actor Matthew McConaughey is clearly going to be in bigger demand than ever, and Deadline has word on oneof his potential upcoming projects. Nothing is official yet, but according to them, Warner Bros. wants McConaughey to play the role of the demonic figure Randall Flagg in the feature film adaptation of Stephen King's The Stand, which will be directed by Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars).
Flagg has been a recurring character in much of King's work, sometimes appearing in different guises, but he first appeared in his 1978 novel "The Stand" and then became the primary antagonist of his serialized "The Dark Tower" (which also has been in development to become a feature film or serialized television show). Jamey Sheridan played the role of the character in the 1994 television mini-series directed by Mick Garris, and Flagg has been brought to the comics in recent years with Marvel adaptations of both King works.
This is an excellent idea. Right now McConaughey is on top of the acting world and can pretty much do anything he wants to do. I'm a huge fan of Stephen King's novels and this one in particular is one of my favorites. I hope that this rumor is true and if it is then I think McConaughey will do an excellent job in the role.
35 years after the horror classic The Amityville Horror and ten years since the 2005 remake starring Ryan Reynolds and Melissa George, Dimension Films are giving one of the original "based on a true story" horror movies another go with next year's Amityville: The Awakening, directed by Franck Khalfoun (Maniac, P2) and starring Jennifer Jason Leigh, Cameron Monaghan and Bella Thorne. This will be the 12th film in the series--many of them, including the last two, The Amityville Haunting and The Amityville Asylum, having gone direct-to-DVD--but Dimension Films has released the first trailer for the film via Yahoo! Movies which you can check out below.
What in gods name did I watch. I mean I'm a fan of the horror genre and I really enjoyed the first film in 1974 and the 2005 remake but this one looks like crap. Nothing really scared me and it will probably be horrible simply because it's coming out in the worst month for movies (January) and it's a horror film that it coming out 9 months before Halloween. Hopefully this film will be great.
The photos from the set of director Christopher McQuarrie's Mission: Impossible 5 set in Vienna, Austria continue to come in. The latest batch, which you can check out in the gallery below, features Tom Cruise and Rebecca Ferguson ("The White Queen") filming atop the roof of the opera house. Following those photos, you can view images of the filming from the last few days in the gallery as well. Also starring Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Alec Baldwin, Ving Rhames, the sequel will hit theaters on December 25, 2015.

These are actually some pretty cool photos. It wouldn't be a spy film without a lavishing party and these photos give us a little glimpse into just that. I'm a huge fan of this franchise and I cannot wait for this film to come out.
