So I recently watched The Boss Baby and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...
A new baby's arrival impacts a family, told from the point of view of a delightfully unreliable narrator -- a wildly imaginative 7-year-old named Tim (voiced by Miles Christopher Bakshi). The most unusual Boss Baby (voiced by Alec Baldwin) arrives at Tim's home in a taxi, wearing a suit and carrying a briefcase. The instant sibling rivalry must soon be put aside when Tim discovers that Boss Baby is actually a spy on a secret mission, and only he can help thwart a dastardly plot that involves an epic battle between puppies and babies.
This film is an entertaining yet terrible film. Now you may wonder how the film can be both at the same time. Well the simple answer to that is Alec Baldwin. He is really the only big name in the cast aside from the likes of Jimmy Kimmel, Steve Buscemi and Lisa Kudrow and the whole film really hinges on Baldwin. He has the best jokes in the film and when he is delivering them, he makes sure they pack a punch. However on that note, he is the only funny thing about the film and everything else is a really jumbled up mess that doesn't make any bit of sense which ruins a pretty decent concept for an animated films. Within the film there are a lot of moving parts and not all of them go together. What really hurts the film is that it falls in the trap of what parody movies do in the sense that it makes a lot of pop-culture references and it 'll even explain the references further as to say that you as the audience are too dumb to understand what we are saying. If you are going into this film looking for a plot, then you will gravely disappointed mainly due to the fact that whatever plot the filmmakers came up with is basically a secondary thing you focus on, because you are focused on how badly developed the characters are. Overall this is a really bad animated film that only has one good thing going for it and when that one thing is Alec Baldwin, then your film will fail. I give The Boss Baby a 2 out of 10.
So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of The Boss Baby, what would you rate it what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
