So I recently watched Office Christmas Party and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...
When the CEO (played by Jennifer Aniston) tries to close her hard-partying brother's (played by T.J. Miller) branch, he and his chief technical officer (played by Jason Bateman) must rally their co-workers and host an epic office Christmas party in an effort to impress a potential client and close a sale that will save their jobs.
This is a really lazy, but somewhat fun film. Now in a film like this, the main goal is to not be predictable simply becasue that's the problem with all comedy films and none of them feel original and this is one of those films. The concept is pretty cool, but it's the same jokes and gags we've seen time and time again and it just makes for some really boring parts in the film. As for the comedy itself there are a lot of really good jokes and then there are some that are really flat and forced. The main thing you go for in this film is the Christmas party itself and there are a lot of outrageous things that go on at this party and that's really where the bulk of the good parts of the film are. Performance wise all of the actors do a great job of delivering the comedic element to the film, but they don't really do that much else and it's almost what you expect. Not only is the story predictable, but the characters are as well and it goes back to the performances outside of the comedy elements each character has and while there are a few little things that are different, the characters are the same ones we see in every comedy film as well. Overall this film has a few things that make it standout compared to other films, but the same predictable moments and elements stick out like a sore thumb and it just makes the film worse as it goes on. I give Office Christmas Party a 3.5 out of 10.
So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of Office Christmas Party, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
