My Review of All Saints

So I recently watched All Saints and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado.......

Michael Spurlock (played by John Corbett) decides to trade in his corporate sales career to become a pastor. Unfortunately, his first assignment is to close a country church and sell the prime piece of land where it sits. He soon has a change of heart when the church starts to welcome refugees from Burma. Spurlock now finds himself working with the refugees to turn the land into a working farm to pay the church's bills.

This is truly one of the more surprising films of the year. The reason for that is becasue most faith-based films don't do that well with the mainstream audiences mainly due to the fact that they often times fail to show the flaws of Christians and often times tries to portray them as perfect and people who aren't Christians are terrible people. Having the gall to do that takes a lot of commending and the filmmakers deserve a lot of credit for that. At times it doesn't feel like a religious film and it becomes more of a character piece and you see that in Michael Spurlock's transformation throughout the film and that's a credit to John Corbett who really commands the screen each and every time he is on screen. There are a few supporting roles in the film, but no of them truly get to have their individual moment for you as a moviegoer to really care about. Also the film is one of the more touching films you'll see this year, but there are times in the film where the emotional parts get to be a little over dramatic. The fact that this is based on a true story really makes you want to dive deeper into the story and if films make you do that then they have made their impact. Overall this film does what a faith based film should do and that's show that everyone has flaws and Christians are no exception and that we should all be just good, kind and caring people in a world that is cruel, this is the film everyone needs to see. I give All Saints a 9 out of 10.

So ladies and gentlemen what did you think of All Saints, what would you rate it and what did you think of my review? Let me know in the comments section below and let your voice be heard.
