So I recently watched Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...
Using a special camera that can see spirits, a family must protect their daughter from an evil entity with a sinister plan.
Can this franchise get any stupider? Look this is a franchise that started off as a phenomenon and it looked like it could continue it's momentum with future films and instead it got worse and it tried to come back strong with a third film, but the series has just dropped off since the third film. This time the studio made another mistake franchise by using 3D which just makes the film un-watchable. Granted some of the scares are little bit creepier due to the 3D, but using it throughout the entire film just doesn't work. It copies the same plot from the film V/H/S in the sense that videotapes are used to show events of the past and it just doesn't work and it makes the film feel cheap. The studio has said that this is the last film in the franchise, but we all know that if this film makes a decent profit, then we will get another entry in the franchise possibly next year. The only thing that the film deserves credit for is being a horror film that comes out around Halloween. Overall this is just another terrible attempt at a horror/sequel with a franchise that has run its course. I give Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension a 0.5 out of 10.

So I recently watched The Last Witch Hunter and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado...
The modern world holds many secrets, but the most astounding secret of all is that witches still live amongst us; vicious supernatural creatures intent on unleashing the Black Death upon the world. Armies of witch hunters battled the unnatural enemy across the globe for centuries, including Kaulder (played by Vin Diesel), a valiant warrior who managed to slay the all-powerful Queen Witch (played by Julie Engelbrecht), decimating her followers in the process. In the moments right before her death, the Queen curses Kaulder with her own immortality, forever separating him from his beloved wife and daughter in the afterlife. Today Kaulder is the only one of his kind remaining, and has spent centuries hunting down rogue witches, all the while yearning for his long-lost loved ones. However, unbeknownst to Kaulder, the Queen Witch is resurrected and seeks revenge on her killer causing an epic battle that will determine the survival of the human race.
This is an absolutely terrible film. At first glance , this seems like a really interesting concept for a film because it deals with witch hunting and it has Vin Diesel who has become a pretty big star in his own right. Instead you get a film that is so dumb that it's laughable. The film has one of the weirdest and strangest plots in the history of film and nothing about the film is cohesive. The only reason why Vin Diesel is in the film is so the studio can capitalize on his stardom from the Fast & Furious franchise, but he proves once again he cannot lead a film on his own. Even with Michael Caine and Elijah Wood in supporting the roles the film , the performances are just laughable and so terrible that you can't get behind any action they do. The visual effects are just unbearable and the film seems like a worse version of I, Frankenstein and that film was a complete joke. Overall this film is just dreadful, there are no redeemable qualities and Vin Diesel proves that he doesn't deserve to be the star of his own film. I give The Last Witch Hunter a 0 out of 10.

Not only are films a great source of entertainment, but television shows are as well. Sometimes however television shows become so popular that studios want to turn those shows into movies. With being said I am going to give you my top 10 favorite films based on tv shows. These movies are ranked 11-20 so when you see number 5 it is actually number 15. 10. The Addams Family
This just a fun a quirky film that does a great job of honoring the 1960's television show. The eccentric lifestyle of the Addams family is threatened when the family attorney and a greedy mother/son team conspire to steal the family fortune. The Addams Family was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Costume Design and it has a rating of 60% on rottentomatoes.com.
9. Doug's 1st Movie
I was a huge fan of the animated show when I was younger and I really enjoy this film as well. oug (voiced by Thomas McHugh) is a good-natured 12-year-old who is chronically infatuated with his classmate Patti Mayonnaise (voiced by Constance Shulman). Doug's best friend Skeeter (voiced by Fred Newman) is convinced there's a monster in Bluffington's Lucky Duck Lake. Surprisingly enough, it turns out Skeeter is right -- pollutants dumped in the lake by cranky factory owner Bill Bluff (voiced by Doug Preis) have spawned a large but thankfully friendly beast Doug and Skeeter name Herman Melville. Doug and Skeeter both want to protect Herman -- Doug so he can look cool in front of Patti, and Skeeter so he can prove the damage Bluff is doing to the environment -- but that isn't so simple when Bluff sends his hired guns to track down the monster. Doug's 1st Movie has a rating of 26% on rottentomatoes.com.
8. Jackass Number Two
This is a franchise that is near and dear to my heart and I just love this film For fans who thought the stakes couldn't be raised any higher and the bar couldn't be lowered any further, the original cast and crew of the stunt comedy sensation that swept the globe return for another round of jaw-dropping feats that are guaranteed to have viewers wincing through their laughter. Jeff Tremaine directs, and Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Chris Pontius, Steve-O, Ryan Dunn, and Jason "Wee Man" Acuna return to the screen to endure more pain and humiliation than ever thought possible on the big screen. Jackass Number Two has a rating of 63% on rottentomatoes.com.
7. Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan This is just an absolutely hilarious film and it gave us one of the most iconic characters in cinematic history. Journalist Borat Sagdiyev (played by Sacha Baron Cohen) leaves his native Kazakhstan to travel to America to make a documentary. As he zigzags across the nation, Borat meets real people in real situations with hysterical consequences. His backward behavior generates strong reactions around him, exposing prejudices and hypocrisies in American culture. In some cases, Borat's interview subjects embrace his outrageous views on race and sex by agreeing with him, while others attempt to offer a patriotic lesson in Western values. Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and it has a rating of 91% on rottentomatoes.com.
6. Addams Family Values
This is one of the few comedy sequels that was better than the first film. When the Addams family welcomes a new baby, they hire a devious nanny (played by Joan Cussack), who falls in love with and marries Fester (played by Christopher Lloyd). Her true intentions are revealed as a serial killer who marries wealthy men but she is no match for the insanity of the Addams.
5. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
This easily the best film from the famed sketch comedy show and it stays true to the same formula that worked on the small screen. From its opening multi-language titles (that sure looks like Swedish) to the closing arrest of the entire Dark Ages cast by modern-day bobbies, Monty Python and the Holy Grail helped to define "irreverence" and became an instant cult classic. This time the Pythonites savage the legend of King Arthur, juxtaposing some excellently selected exterior locations with an unending stream of anachronistic one-liners, non sequiturs, and slapstick set pieces. The Knights of the Round Table set off in search of the Holy Grail on foot, as their lackeys make clippety-clop sounds with coconut shells. A plague-ridden community, ringing with the cry of "bring out your dead," offers its hale and hearty citizens to the body piles. A wedding of convenience is attacked by Arthur's minions while the pasty-faced groom continually attempts to burst into song. The good guys are nearly thwarted by the dreaded, tree-shaped "Knights Who Say Ni!" A feisty enemy warrior, bloodily shorn of his arms and legs in the thick of battle, threatens to bite off his opponent's kneecap. A French military officer shouts such taunts as "I fart in your general direction" and "I wave my private parts at your aunties." Rabbits are a particular obsession of the writers this time around, ranging from the huge Trojan Rabbit to the "killer bunny" that decapitates one of the knights. Monty Python and the Holy Grail has a rating of 97% on rottentomatoes.com.
4. Hercules This is one of my favorite Disney comedy-musicals of all-time. The son of the Greek Gods Zeus (voiced by Rip Torn)and Hera (voiced by Samantha Eggar), Hercules (voiced by Josh Keaton) is stolen as a boy by the minions of Hades (voiced by James Woods), lord of the underworld. Forced to live among humans, Hercules is turned half-god and half-mortal after drinking a forbidden potion brewed by Hades right hand men Pain (voiced by Bob Goldthwait) and Panic (voiced by Matt Frewer). Now Hercules has the remarkable strength of a god, but is trapped in the body of a human, and before he learns how to use his powers or can return to his home on Mount Olympus he must prove himself to be a true hero on Earth. I just absolutely love this film and anytime its on, I am glued to the TV. Hercules was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song and has a rating of 83% on rottentomatoes.com.
3. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol
This is a spectacular and an amazing spy film This is not just another mission. The IMF is shut down when it's implicated in a global terrorist bombing plot. Ghost Protocol is initiated and Ethan Hunt (played by Tom Cruise) and his rogue new team must go undercover to clear their organization's name. No help, no contact, off the grid. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol has a rating of 93% on rottentomatoes.com.
2. U.S. Marshals
While it isn't as good as The Fugitive, it is still a fun film to watch. United States Marshall Sam Gerard (played by Tommy Lee Jones) has been assigned to escort a federal prisoner to a maximum security prison in Missouri. On the same flight is Mark Sheridan (played by Wesley Snipes), who has been arrested and charged with the murders of two Federal agents, though he insists he's innocent. The plane is involved in an accident leading to a crash, and after helping to rescue some of the passengers, Sheridan escapes. The State Department informs Gerard that finding Sheridan and putting him back behind bars is a top priority, and Gerard sets out on his trail, with the very much uncalled-for assistance of eccentric FBI agent John Royce (played by Robert Downey Jr.). However, Gerard soon begins to wonder just how Sheridan became such an important man in the eyes of the government, while Sheridan is determined to find out who turned him in to the authorities. U.S. Marshals has a rating of 27% on rottentomatoes.com.
1. Star Trek
This film is awesome and a great addition to the Star Trek film franchise. The film follows James T. Kirk (played by Chris Pine) and Spock (played by Zachary Quinto) aboard the USS Enterprise as they combat Nero (played by Eric Bana), a Romulan from the future who threatens the United Federation of Planets. The Film takes place in an alternate reality due to time travel by both Nero and the original Spock (played by Leonard Nimoy). This is one of the best films in the franchise and I absolutely loved the alternate reality twist. Star Trek was nominated for 4 Academy Awards including Best Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Make-Up and Visual Effects, while winning one (Best Make-Up) and it has a rating of 95% on rottentomatoes.com.

Peyton Reed is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! The Hollywood Reporter today brings word that the Ant-Man helmer has officially entered negotiations to direct the 2018 sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp. That’s not entirely a surprise, given Reed’s enthusiasm for the source material and the immensely-positive reactions Ant-Man received. The film, which has grossed more than $454 million at the worldwide box office, received an A rating on CinemaScore. Ant-Man and the Wasp will feature the return of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang alongside Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne. The movie will debut on July 6, 2018, the original release date for Marvel’s Black Panther. Black Panther has been moved to a February 16, 2018 release. The other films for Marvel’s Phase Three include Captain America: Civil War on May 6, 2016, Doctor Strange on November 4, 2016, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on May 5, 2017, their Untitled Spider-Man Film on July 28, 2017, Thor: Ragnarok on November 3, 2017, Avengers: Infinity War Part I on May 4, 2018, Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019, Avengers: Infinity War Part II on May 3, 2019, and Inhumans on July 12, 2019. There are also three mystery films set to follow in 2020. Peyton Reed’s first feature film was 2000’s cheerleader comedy Bring It On, followed by the ’60s Doris Day and Rock Hudson sex comedy homage, Down with Love, and the Jim Carrey-led Yes Man in 2008. He boarded Marvel’s Ant-Man last June, following the departure of the previously-attached Edgar Wright (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, The World’s End).
This is great news to hear. When he was first announced as the director for the first Ant-Man film I was a little skeptical at first, but after seeing the film, I'm glad to see he is coming back. He knows what he is doing and given the comedic background he has, plus the success of Ant-Man helps out a lot when getting a job like this. It also shows that Marvel trusts him with this franchise and I like that a studio is able to do that in this age of movies.
A third Power Ranger has joined the cast of Lionsgate‘s upcoming feature film today. Another relative newcomer, Ludi Lin will play the Black Ranger, joining the previously-announced Naomi Scott (The Martian, “Terra Nova”) as the Pink Ranger and Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger. As was the case with Dacre Montgomery, Ludi Lin’s name did not appear on the recently rumored Power Rangers short list. His involvement was nevertheless confirmed by the film’s official Instagram account. Screenwriters Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller (X-Men: First Class, Thor) wrote the screenplay for Power Rangers, which is described as a modern reinvention of the long-running franchise. In it, a group of ordinary high school kids find themselves infused with extraterrestrial powers and must harness those powers as a team to save the world. Original creator Haim Saban is acting as producer along with Brian Casentini and Allison Shearmur. Saban’s “Power Rangers” franchise is the brainchild of Haim Saban, creator and producer of the original “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” hit series that launched in 1993. Following its introduction, “Power Rangers” quickly became the most-watched children’s television program in the United States and remains one of the top-rated and longest running boys live-action series in television history. The series follows the adventures of a group of ordinary teens who “morph” into superheroes and save the world from evil. It is seen in more than 150 markets around the world, translated into numerous languages and is a mainstay in the most prominent international children’s programming blocks. 20th Century Fox previously released two feature films, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie in 1995 and Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie in 1997. Set to be directed by Project Almanac‘s Dean Israelite, Power Rangers will debut in theaters on January 13, 2017.
This is interesting casting. Once again the studio has chosen to go with another unknown actor for a major role and as I've said before I love that idea. It's also pretty shocking that the second straight casting for the film is someone who wasn't on the list as few weeks back which tells me that that list was right at the time, but there were names added later on. Now some people online are debating whether he'll be playing Zack or Adam. If you followed the show then you know the character of Zack was African-American and in the series he was replaced by the character Adam who is Asian-American. Now this guy is of Asian decent so it makes a lot of sense to be Adam, but I personally think he'll be Zack. Both Naomi Scott and Dacre Montgomery have been announced as Kimberly and Jason respectively and in the series Adam was never with Jason and Kimberly, but Zack was. Now the studio could be going in an entirely different direction and Adam could be apart of the team and if that happens expect to see the wrath of fanboys. But if he is Zack, then they are complaining that the character of Zack should be African-American and to that I say that it doesn't matter if you change the race/gender of the character as long as you don't change what the character's true core is. I think he'll play Zack, but right now we don't have a single clue.
Paramount Pictures and Red Granite Pictures have released the new Daddy’s Home trailer, which you can watch below. Opening in theaters on Friday, December 25, the comedy stars Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. Daddy’s Home follows a mild-mannered radio executive (Ferrell) who strives to become the best stepdad to his wife’s two children, but complications ensue when their freewheeling and freeloading real father (Wahlberg) arrives, forcing him to compete for the affection of the kids. Directed by Sean Anders, the film also stars Linda Cardellini, Thomas Haden Church and Hannibal Buress. Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell previously co-starred in the in 2010 The Other Guys, directed by Adam McKay.
This was a great trailer. I'm huge fan of both Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg and seeing them back on the big screen together is going to be a treat. They've already proven they have great comedic chemistry together when they were in the film The Other Guys together back in 2010. My only concern is that the funniest jokes might have been in the trailer, but for right now I have to say I am looking forward to the film.
Mars Distribution has posted the first international Jane Got a Gun trailer! Take a look at the violent revisionist western, in which Natalie Portman plays a woman not to be trifled with, in the trailer below. Jane Got a Gun centers on Jane Hammond (Natalie Portman), who has built a new life with her husband Bill “Ham” Hammond (Noah Emmerich) after being tormented by the ultra-violent Bishop Boys outlaw gang. She finds herself in the gang’s cross-hairs once again when Ham stumbles home riddled with bullets after dueling with the Boys and their relentless mastermind Colin (Ewan McGregor). With the vengeful crew hot on Ham’s trail, Jane has nowhere to turn but to her former fiancé Dan Frost (Joel Edgerton) for help in defending her family against certain destruction. Haunted by old memories, Jane’s past meets the present in a heart-stopping battle for survival. Production on Jane Got a Gun was somewhat troubled back in 2013 with formerly attached director Lynne Ramsey leaving the project as production began. Warrior helmer Gavin O’Connor ultimately took over and finished the film with a cast that also includes Rodrigo Santoro. Although now-bankrupt Relativity Media had originally scheduled the movie to be released on September 4, The Weinstein Company has taken distribution rights.
Finally we get to see a trailer for this film and I actually enjoyed it. This film has went through the ringer from changing of cast members, change of director and change of plot and even struggled with distribution rights to the point where I never thought the film would see the light of day. It looks breathtakingly beautiful and the performances look pretty solid. I'm hoping we find out a release date soon because this is a film I want to see pretty badly.
Sony’s Screen Gems has revealed the new trailer for the literary parody Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, which takes a bite out of the Jane Austin legacy. A zombie outbreak has fallen upon the land in Jane Austen’s classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England. Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet (Lily James) is a master of martial arts and weaponry and the handsome Mr. Darcy (Sam Reilly) is a fierce zombie killer, yet the epitome of upper class prejudice. As the zombie outbreak intensifies, they must swallow their pride and join forces on the blood-soaked battlefield. Written and directed by Burr Steers (Igby Goes Down), Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is based on the book by Seth Grahame-Smith and stars Lily James (Cinderella), Sam Riley (Control), Jack Huston (American Hustle), Bella Heathcote (Dark Shadows), Douglas Booth (Jupiter Ascending), Matt Smith (“Doctor Who”), Charles Dance (“Game of Thrones”) and Lena Headey (300). Screen Gems will release the film just in time for a bloody Valentine’s Day on February 5, 2016
I liked this trailer just a little. The first trailer that came out was just absolutely terrible and it looked really corny. This trailer still looks corny, but it at least shows a little bit of action and some of the gore that will be in the film. From the moment I heard of this film, I immediately rolled my eyes because it really is a ridiculous idea. If this ends up being great, then I'll eat my words (no pun intended), but I don't think there is any chance it will even good let alone great.

With Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Demision being released in theaters this weekend, I thought it would be fitting to review the other films in the Paranormal Activity franchise. So without further ado...
Paranormal Activity
A haunted house makes no secret of the fact it's not pleased with its new tenants in this independent tale of supernatural horror. Katie (played by Katie Featherson) and Micah (played by Micah Sloat) are a twentysomething couple who've just moved into a new home in San Diego, CA. Katie has an interest in the paranormal and believes that malevolent spirits have been following her since childhood, though Micah is not so easily convinced. However, after several nights of loud noises and strange happenings, Micah starts to agree with Katie that some sort of ghost may have followed them to the new home. After a paranormal researcher tells the couple he can't help them, Micah decides to take control of the situation and sets up a battery of video cameras so that if a spirit manifests itself, he can capture its behavior on tape. Once the surveillance cameras are in place, Katie and Micah bring in a Ouija board in an effort to talk to the spirits, a move that deeply offends the ghosts.
This is pretty great film. One of the things about horror films today is that they aren't original at all and use cheap scares just so you as an audience member will think they are terrified when they actually shouldn't be. In this film however the scares are genuinely scary and will give your nightmares for several days. It is a found footage film and that's the type of film a lot of people consider (including myself) lazy and repetitive and while this film has some of those traits, they don't stick out like a sore thumb as the other films do. The performances are pretty decent and you can tell that the actors at points were really scared. The premise is simple enough to follow along with, but it does a few things different. Some of the scares in the film aren't that scary and that's usually typical with most horror films today. Overall this is one of the best original horror films I have ever seen and it takes a simple story and it turns it on it's head. I give Paranormal Activity a 9.5 out of 10.
Paranormal Activity 2

After experiencing what they think are a series of "break-ins", a family sets up security cameras around their home, only to realize that the events unfolding before them are more sinister than they seem.
This is an absolutely terrible film to watch. The first film built a great mythology around a married couple and the horrors they face in their own house and you felt a sense of danger and in this film you don't It's the sequel that tells you about events that you don't see that goes on while the first films events are going on and that's what you call lazy filmmaking and doing everything you can to squeeze out money off of the success of the first film. The performances are just dull, wooden and annoying and their is no plot because fills in unnecessary gaps. The one main thing you want in a horror film is for you to feel so scared that you can't sleep and in this film every single scare is predictable that you can pretty much see it coming two or three scenes ahead of time. Overall this film does everything wrong that the first film did right. I give Paranormal Activity a 0 out of 10.
Paranormal Activity 3
In 1988, young sisters Katie (played by Chloe Csengery) and Kristi (played by Sprague Grayden) befriend an invisible entity named Toby who resides in their home.
This is actually really decent film to watch. The first film built this mythology around the character Katie and how the demon possessed her, in the second one it just fills in the unnecessary gaps and it doesn't build upon the first at all and this film goes back to the beginning to show you how it all begin and that's what makes the film so great. Now just like every prequel we sort of know what' going to happen because this film has to connect the dots leading to the first film. The film does rely on a boatload of jump scares and that's to be expected out of every horror film, but the ones in this film are pretty terrifying. The two children in the film give pretty good performances and you can just see the terror and creepiness in every single thing they do. Overall this by far a really big step-up from the previous film, but it just doesn't quite get to the greatness of the first film. I give Paranormal Activity 3 a 7 out of 10.
Paranormal Activity 4
It has been five years since the disappearance of Katie and Hunter, and a suburban family witness strange events in their neighborhood when a woman and a mysterious child move in.
When you open a dictionary you should this films poster beside the word of terrible, because this film is just that. This film just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. It shoehorns characters of Katie and Hunter into the film to make them the overall antagonists of the film/franchise. It also does nothing to build upon the mythology that has been built so far and it acts as if the other films didn't happen eventhough they use characters from earlier films in the franchise. The plot is just unbearably stupid and ridiculous. There's also nothing scary about the film and the jump scares used in the film are just silly and stupid. Honestly if you come out of this film being scared then you are delusional, but if you come out laughing then you are right on point becasue that's exactly how I felt after seeing the film. overall this is just a stupid and ridiculous film that doesn't need to see the light of day ever again.
Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones
The story begins in June 2012, at a party in Oxnard, California. After a woman dies in the apartment beneath the party, some party goers take their camera to investigate. They discover items associated with black magic rituals, even the missing tapes from Paranormal Activity 3. When Jesse (played by Andrew Jacobs) the film's lead protagonist, discovers an inhuman bite mark on his arm, strange forces pursue him while Jesse's loved ones attempt to save him.
Honestly this film is horrendous. The story is stupid and it continues the downhill slide of the franchise. This franchise has lost all of its suspense. Also this film is very predictable, none of the scares really scare you and as it gets to the end you think this big ending is going to happen and then it just disappoints you. I hate this franchise except the first one and this film is just horrible, so with that being said I'm going to give Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones a 1 out of 10.
Overall Franchise Rating: 3.5 out of 10

Another Power Ranger has joined the cast of Lionsgate‘s upcoming feature film. Relative newcomer Dacre Montgomery will play the Red Ranger, joining the previously-announced Naomi Scott (The Martian, “Terra Nova”) as The Pink Ranger. Dacre Montgomery’s name did not appear on the recently rumored Power Rangers short list, but his involvement was confirmed by the film’s official Instagram account. The initial story also suggested that Daniel Zovatto (It Follows), Ross Butler (“Chasing Life”) and Brian “Sene” Marc (“Major Crimes”) are in contention for the role of the Black Ranger. Screenwriters Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller (X-Men: First Class, Thor) wrote the screenplay for Power Rangers, which is described as a modern reinvention of the long-running franchise. In it, a group of ordinary high school kids find themselves infused with extraterrestrial powers and must harness those powers as a team to save the world. Original creator Haim Saban is acting as producer along with Brian Casentini and Allison Shearmur. Saban’s “Power Rangers” franchise is the brainchild of Haim Saban, creator and producer of the original “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” hit series that launched in 1993. Following its introduction, “Power Rangers” quickly became the most-watched children’s television program in the United States and remains one of the top-rated and longest running boys live-action series in television history. The series follows the adventures of a group of ordinary teens who “morph” into superheroes and save the world from evil. It is seen in more than 150 markets around the world, translated into numerous languages and is a mainstay in the most prominent international children’s programming blocks. 20th Century Fox previously released two feature films, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie in 1995 and Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie in 1997. Set to be directed by Project Almanac‘s Dean Israelite, Power Rangers will debut in theaters on January 13, 2017.
This is really surprising casting. The reason for that is because of what was mentioned in the article and it's that he wasn't mentioned a few weeks back. No of course things can change, but it's still surprising. I think this guy has the look to be in this new incarnation and the fact that he's unknown makes him a great fit because as a fan of Power Rangers as a kid the actors in the tv show were all unknowns at the time of each series starting so casting unknowns for the film is a great idea. I'm looking forward to this film more and more and I think it has a chance to be really good, but I'm concerned because of the January release date.
Paramount Pictures has made some alterations to their schedule of upcoming horror features. The new Friday the 13th sequel was originally planned for release Friday, May 13, 2016. Instead, the feature will arrive on the big screen January 13, 2017. Meanwhile, The Ring sequel, Rings, has taken an April 1, 2016 spot. Originally intended for release this year, Rings was temporarily removed from Paramount’s schedule earlier this year. One of the more popular entries in the slasher genre, the first Friday the 13th was released in 1980 and followed a series of brutal murders of teen counselors at Camp Crystal Lake. The killer was ultimately revealed to be Pamela Voorhees, a mother whose son, Jason, drowned in the lake years earlier due to the negligence of the camp’s staff. As the cinematic series progressed, Jason himself became the franchise’s iconic hockey mask-wearing, machete-wielding killer. The Friday the 13th franchise currently consists of ten original “solo” films, the 2003 crossover Freddy vs. Jason, and, most recently, the 2009 reboot. There was also a short-lived television series that, despite its title, was unconnected to the plot of the film franchise. A new Friday the 13th television series is also currently in development for The CW. The new Friday the 13th film is set to be directed by V/H/S helmer David Bruckner and will feature a screenplay by ‘Hannibal” co-producer Nick Antosca. Michael Bay and Andrew Form are also producing the new film through their Platinum Dunes, which also produced the 2009 film.
I think this is a terrific idea. I wasn't a huge fan of the idea that a Friday the 13th film was coming out on Friday the 13th as that's one of the stupidest ideas in the world. Now it's at a date where it will have some success, but that date also tells me that the studio doesn't have an ounce of faith in the film because as you all know, January is where all movie go to die so it may not be that successful. Plus there are quite a few movies coming out on that date such as the Power Rangers reboot so I know what I'm going to see on that date.
When you have the likes of Iron Man and Captain America going at each other’s throats for the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, it’s easy to forget that another well established Marvel villain is lurking in the wings of the feature. Daniel Brühl (Inglorious Basterds, The Fifth Estate) will bring to life the villain Baron Zemo in the 2016 release, but he’ll be doing it without one of the character’s trademarks. “He does not wear the mask,” Brühl tells Business Insider. “You would be surprised, it’s different than what you’d think. It’s loosely connected to this character. But that’s what I like about the Marvel guys, some of the characters and things they’re dealing with always reference to current events so my character is from a different area than you would think.” Brühl also went on to tease that his character could be popping up in future Marvel movies. “There’s a possibility. That’s the way it’s written.” Set for release in the United States on May 6, 2016, Captain America: Civil War is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely. It is set to feature the return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, this time joined in his “solo” film by fellow Avengers Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Don Cheadle as Jim Rhodes/War Machine and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch. Sebastian Stan will also be back as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier alongside Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter/Agent 13, Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow/Crossbones, William Hurt as General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, and Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man. The film is also supposed to debut Marvel’s new Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland. Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
These are some realy great comments. Daniel Bruhl is dropping a few tidbits about his character in the new film and I like that because he knows the fans want to know more. I also like that he won't have a mask in the film because it changes up the costume look and it let's the audience see his face when he is the big battle. It also follows along with Marvel has done with characters costumes and changing it up to make it more appealing. When Daniel Bruhl was cast in this I was immediately excited and I'm anxious to see how he'll do in the film.

Russell, the dramedy stars Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro, Edgar Ramirez, Diane Ladd, Virginia Madsen, Isabella Rossellini, Elisabeth Röhm and Bradley Cooper. It’s the third time Russell, Lawrence, Cooper and De Niro have worked together following Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. Joy is the wild story of a family across four generations centered on the girl who becomes the woman who founds a business dynasty and becomes a matriarch in her own right. Betrayal, treachery, the loss of innocence and the scars of love, pave the road in this intense emotional and human comedy about becoming a true boss of family and enterprise facing a world of unforgiving commerce. Allies become adversaries and adversaries become allies, both inside and outside the family, as Joy’s inner life and fierce imagination carry her through the storm she faces. Like David O. Russell’s previous films, Joy defies genre to tell a story of family, loyalty, and love.
This was a decent trailer. I didn't really like the first trailer at all, but this trailer was so good that I'm actually looking forward to the film. Jennifer Lawrence looks as if she has flipped the switch and this could be her best performance yet. Now I don't think she'll win the Oscar (I think Brie Larson will), but she'll definitely get nominated. This is a film that will be a contender for Best Picture as well just all of David O'Russell's recent films. I think this will be a very interesting film to see and I'm really curious to see how it all plays out.
Earlier this year, Matthew Vaughn’s adaptation of the Mark Millar/Dave Gibbons graphic novel Kingsman: The Secret Service became a surprise hit for 20th Century Fox, grossing $128 million domestically and another $285 million overseas. It also kicked off what would be a year filled with spy thrillers and comedies. It wasn’t long before a sequel was confirmed with Vaughn thinking of directing it himself, and now we’ve learned that 20th Century Fox isn’t going to wait that long to release a sequel, setting a June 16, 2017 release date for the spy action-comedy that will presumably bring back Taron Egerton’s now fully-trained secret agent. While there’s no word who else might return from the first movie–if you’ve seen it then you know why it will be hard to bring many characters back, kind of like with another Millar-adapted movie Wanted–it would be the second movie based on one of Millar’s works to get a sequel after Kick-Ass 2, which Vaughn did not return to direct. So far, there hasn’t been any word whether Milllar and Gibbons might continue their story into another “The Secret Service” graphic novel (as Millar did with Kick-Ass) although Vaughn’s movie already diverged away from the comic, so it could theoretically continue on its own trajectory.
I love this release date for a few reasons. Number one I'm glad we finally have a date for the sequel because there for a while they were rumblings of this might not happening or when it would happen and now we know when. Number two this date dhows that the studio has a lot of faith in the film to put in the middle of the summer movie season. It's going to have some competition going up against Cars 3 and then the next weekend is the Wonder Woman film so it may have a big drop from week 1 to week 2. Looking at the 2017 schedule, I think this film might be better off being put at the end of March because while their is some competition, it's not enough to detract moviegoers from seeing this film and it puts it away from blockbusters as it would come 2 weeks before Furious 8 and it would go up against another animated film in Get Smurfy, but it will do better against that then Cars 3. I like the confidence and this film may do good, but as good as it could with an earlier date.

The 88th Academy Awards will be broadcast live on Oscar Sunday, February 28, 2016, on the ABC Television Network. Rock previously hosted the 77th Oscars telecast in 2005. “Chris Rock is truly the MVP of the entertainment industry,” said Hill and Hudlin. “Comedian, actor, writer, producer, director, documentarian – he’s done it all. I love this so much. Now Chris Rock was nowhere near my top choice to host the Oscars, but I'm not surprised that he is. This falls in the recent trend (since 2007) of the Academy of going with someone new, then someone who's hosted before (i.e. 2007 Ellen DeGeneres (1st), 2008 Jon Stewart (2nd), 2009 Hugh Jackman (1st), 2010 Alec Baldwin (1st) and Steve Martin (3rd), 2011 James Franco (1st) and Anne Hathaway (1st), 2012, Billy Crystal (9th), 2013 Seth MacFarlene (1st), 2014 Ellen DeGeneres (2nd), 2015 Neil Patrick Harris (1st), 2016 Chris Rock (2nd)). I think Chris Rock can do a fantastic job and he might cause some more controversy, but that's Chris Rock he speaks his mind and everyone loses theirs. I actually enjoyed his opening monologue the last time and his new could be fantastic. I'm a huge Chris Rock fan and I'm really excited to see him host The Oscars.

So I recently watched Room and I'm here to bring you my review. So without further ado.............
This drama tells the extraordinary story of Jack (played by Jacob Tremblay), a spirited 5 year-old who is looked after by his loving and devoted Ma (played by Brie Larson). Like any good mother, Ma dedicates herself to keeping Jack happy and safe, nurturing him with warmth and love and doing typical things like playing games and telling stories. However, they are trapped in a windowless, 10-by-10-foot space, which Ma has euphemistically named "Room." As Jack's curiosity about their situation grows, and Ma's resilience reaches its breaking point, they enact a risky plan to escape, ultimately bringing them face-to-face with what may turn out to be the scariest thing yet: the real world.
This is a really powerful film. When this film was announced, I was initially confused because I had no idea what the film was about even after reading the synopsis I was still confused and plus I thought it was a better version of The Room (kidding), but this film is simply amazing. The story is one that seems on paper very interesting, but you can where there is a possibility of the film going completely wrong and it doesn't at all. Brie Larson gives the best performance of the year hands down and she is my choice for the Academy Award for Best Actress she is just that good and if she doesn't win then it be a really big disappointment. The real standout performance is young Jacob Tremblay who is spectacular in the role of Jack and he deserves at least a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at next years Oscars. The film packs a very powerful emotional punch that can put you in tears at various points of the film. The supporting cast besides these is outstanding and perfectly cast for each role. The film does move at a slow methodical pace and that can take people out of the film, but it brings you back in with the emotion and then it sometimes beats you over the head with emotional moments and it can't climb out of the hole at points. Overall this is a film is powerful and filled with amazing performances that you'll need to bring tissues, but there are points where it can be over-emotional at times. I give Room a 9 out of 10.
